Inochi Taiko is a taiko (Japanese drumming) group based in Seattle, Washington. We strive to perform the best possible taiko, focusing on tonal quality and precise kata (body movement and form).

In Japanese, inochi (pronounced "ee-NO-chee") means "life force" or "spirit". Inochi hopes to embody the taiko spirit, playing from the heart, and exploring new ways of creative expression.

Our founding members have been playing since they could barely see over a taiko drum. We always have fun playing together and pushing each other to improve.
